The kind of film Peter Sellers could had done

I saw Sleeper on MGM for the first time two days ago and i thought it was a funny movie. Sleeper is the kind film that the late Peter Sellers could had done
Sleeper reminds me a bit of The Pink Panther, Austin Powers and Johnny English.

Peter Sellers is one of my favorites.
It would've been good if he'd worked with Woody on this. Sellers was explosive, he could have used one of those Bazooka/Plunger contraptions.

I would bet money that Woody Allen is a big fan of Dr. Strangelove and Sellers in particular.

They have worked together on What's New Pussycat (1965) which Woody wrote, a really funny movie. Apparently they clashed and did not really get along that well. At least that's what i've read in some short trivia excerpts.

Yeah, I'd read something to the effect that someone on the crew started talking to Sellers, mistaking him for Allen, and Sellers went with it - and got an earful over what an intolerable a-hole Sellers was. Couldn't have sat well with him.

Sure, Sellers could do great many great things. Some call him the best comedic actor ever and I don't necessarily disagree... Just saw him in De Sica's After The Fox and he was exceptional.
