Road block scene
The road block scene on the freeway, in which the lead car crashes through a pair of police cars, is nearly identical to a scene in Thunder Road, right down to the placement/angle of the parked cars, to the driver's reaction (speeding up), to the action of the shooters after the car breaks through. Was this an intentional homage to Thunder Road, or just a coincidence?
