I like the title, though I wouldn't mind seeing a couple commas in it.
Adding "2" to titles didn't happen much in 1973, thankfully. Actually, sequels were relatively rare then, thankfully again.

both the Blacula films had some problems, limited budgets or whatever.
Eddie Murphy tried the theme when he did Maxmillian, and Grace
Jones when she played Katrina in Vamp.
With the retro-craze, maybe some enterprising director will make
a nice remake of Blacula, maybe called MAMUWALDE and do Blacula
up right. I would love to see a really nice, decently budgeted
film. William is gone, but if it is done right, that would be
truly awesome, and would be a nice homage to William too!!

How would remaking Blacula be a homage to William? The psyhology of nearly all remakes and those who make them are that the original was not good enough, so needs to be remade. Saying that Marshall didn't do a good enough job honors him?
As much as I love both Blacula films, the time to do sequels to them has passed too. I'd rather see Hollywood keep their mitts the hell off these films and give us an original new idea... A story concept that hasn't been done before, rather than upchucking an old one and getting it wrong.
When you enjoy a great Thanksgiving dinner, you don't puke it up and eat it again, do you? Of course not, it would be horrible! Just hold onto the GREAT MEMORY of the first great one and move on to make an entirely new meal. The sooner Hollywood and unoriginal remake crazy idiots realize this, the sooner the Horror genre will revive and become strong again.
I wish I'd have known this was a direct sequel before I watched it! I thought it was a spinoff where they get a different character to carry on the 'brand name' (a la Laura Gemser replacing Sylvia Kristel for "Black Emmannuelle", for example... )
I watched this on Youtube, but the original Blacula is not so freely available, and had I had prior notice of that, I never would have viewed this one, first... (enjoyable though it was)

I think Scream Blacula Scream is a lot more creative than Blacula 2 so I'm glad they didn't use such an ordinary title. I guess Return of Blacula would've worked out, too. But I like Scream Blacula Scream the best.
