How comes Little John and Robin Hood could sneak into the castle so easily??? Wouldnt the guards have seen them??? Even Friart Tuck and the villagers sneak past the wolf archers easily???

how come they were waling around on two legs and not all fours? How was "robin hood" was able to shoot a bow and arrow like a human? How did they all speak english to each other and run a town with no humans around? You have opened a can of worms good sir.

I hate it when people try to confuse fantasy with lack of logic. The two are not synonyms and the latter does not excuse the former. Even fantasy respects a certain degree of logic, and Robin Hood and The Great Mouse Detective both sacrifice logic far too much. It's like Sir Hiss inflating the balloon by blowing air already inside of it. Fantasy does not excuse ignoring logic, and neither does "it's a cartoon."

I hate it when people try to confuse lack of logic with comedy. The two are not synonyms and the latter can excuse the former. Even fantasy can be used as a comedic setting, and Robin Hood and The Emperor's New Groove both sacrifice just enough logic to make some whoppingly funny jokes, like Sir Hiss inflating the balloon by blowing air already inside of it. Fantasy does not exclude using comedy, and neither does "it's a Disney movie."

Sure. But you're going to have to explain how either example serves a comedic purpose because they certainly don't. "This is the best movie evah" isn't a reason to ignore its flaws, either.

Those examples, admittedly, are not comedic, and as such may be viewed as logical gaps.
