Absolutely wonderful voice acting

I still love this film more than 40 years after it was released. Something that stands out even among animated films now a days is the incredible voice acting. Every character's voice is warm and fleshed out. I think studios would do better to hire these kind of professionals instead of just paying big names celebrities to voice characters.

Well, they weren't exactly A-listers (except perhaps Peter Ustinov) but Terry-Thomas, Phil Harris, Andy Devine and Roger Miller were all fairly well-known actors/entertainers. Contrast this with the casts of the Disney films of the pre-Jungle Book era, populated almost exclusively by "who dat?" names.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.
