What kind of snake is Sir Hiss?

I always wondered. And it also disappoints me, that he didn't appear in other movies. Maybe he got so much money for appearing in this one, that he decided an early retirement. Who knows.

Poor Sir Hiss, the only snake I've ever loved.

All these voices in my head, and not a single one I understand.

A Disney snake! Like Kaa, but with Sterling Holloway traded in for Terry-Thomas ("Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines").

Amanda Bynes is hot and Lindsay Lohan is not.
