you have to download it. It's from the very first season before they were picked up on comedy central. They aren't very funny in it and there are long stretches where they don't say anything at all.

Yeah, I just watched it last night and I also caught it during the first season of MST3K back on KMTA23.
What I remembered was that the MST3k was really dull and I lost all credibility with friends that the show was genius. Of course I was in junior high!
On re-watch, its a pretty good cerebral sci-fi, not a lot of action but big ideas occurring. Kind of like Colossus: The Forbin Project, but with ants. Lots and lots of close-ups of ants!
The scientist who learned to communicate with the ants seemed to develop a version of LOGO which I used as a 6th grader to learn geometry, math, and computer science. Kind of cool!
Too bad I had nightmares of being pursued by ants after watching!
