Not even nominated for best movie, and Steve McQueen amazing performance did even get him a nomination....sad.

The Academy probably was paid to promote someone else's film that year.

I believe it won for best score for Jerry Goldsmith. :)

Sadly, Jerry Goldsmith did not win the Oscar for it. He won for THE OMEN.
