As an Aussie I have no idea how the area of Tiburon might have changed since the movie was made.

In 1973 it looked like there were few houses and lots of open land. Has it been built out now?

Trying to find the house where the "pool party massacre" took place? This has been a special obsession of mine as well, but no luck yet. (Have some fun with "Google Earth!") Good luck, and let us know!

Amazing how underdeveloped that side of the bay was at that time. Of course this was 2 years after the sawmill scene in dirty harry in approximately the same area -

Grassy fields still exist in areas just off e.Blithdale avenue, near belvedere...
