Lou Guzman

In the police briefing wherein Lt. Briggs briefs Callaghan and the other officers in warranting necessary protection for the top criminals in San Francisco, it is established that one of the Mafioso, a Lou Guzman has a "first-grade education."

However, when Guzman is in his suite with the nude girl, who is in danger of wasting the coke, he notifies her that "That stuff is worth $900.00 an ounce." Finally warning her and the whining blonde-haired guy that they had "Better not spill it!"

So with limited education no superior than that of the first-grade, how in the world did Guzman even know what an ounce is?! Must have been a child prodigy, but had it not been for his *beep*-up background ...

You got your mind right, Luke?

Do you think he was bi? That's an awkward scene.

reply

I think the scene was simply intended to make it very clear that he was a bad guy: drugs, weird sexual interests, etc.
