I'm watching the Dirty Harry films for the first time. As soon as I saw Hal Holbrook, I thought, "He's the bad guy!"

Seriously, did he ever NOT play the bad guy?

This fog is getting thicker!

As soon as I posted my last, I watched "Midway," so obviously not always a villain. However, the ratio seems to favor him playing a villain most of the time, IMO. Good for him though. It's probably more fun.

Well, Holbrook's no Bradford Dillman. He was gonna play a pivotal character not just a petty beaureaucrat.
