Way,way,way,way too long
With the talent in this film, it's absolutely amazing how the director ruined things with his use of all master shots, super slow pace, and 50 minutes too long film....

shareIt's not 50 minutes too long... maybe 10/15 mins
Who knows, with a little editing it could've been the greatest Dirty Harry flick instead 2nd best?
Thought I was havin' trouble with my adding. It's all right now
Agreed. I love this film, it's a great sequel to the original and I love coming back to it. The only thing that let's it down is that the pacing isn't as tight as the originals. A few minutes shaved off probably would have improved this.
WINGED FREAK...Terrorizes?....Wait till they get a load of me...
I agree with jaytee_23. 15 minutes too long, 20 at the absolute most. I think this film is quite epic. If the first Dirty Harry is a 9.5 then this one is a 9.4.
shareYou have way, way, way too many "way"s in your topic. But I do agree the film stretched out a bit. Still love it, tho!
shareIt's the best entry in the series next to the first one, so what's the problem with it being longer, I say.
shareI agree.
Too many scenes crammed in what should have been a 60 minute R rated cop show.
Dirty Harry was a happy accident, all the sequels were mediocre to poor IMO.
"You work your side of the street, and I'll work mine"
It is a little long. Once scene I like (to laugh at due to odd longness) is when the phone is ringing in Palancio's office and they just watch TV and let it ring and ring and ring and ring and ring.
Ah, the pace of the seventies!
Now, this is a signature gun, and that is an optical palm reader.share
I remember the phone ringing sound had a certain tone on TV for years and then I picked up the blu ray and it sounded different. Then I listened to it on French monotone and the tone was exactly how I remembered it to be!
