Although attributed to 1973 and released in 1974, during the bike cop chase of Harry with Briggs and just after the bike cop shoots through the rear & front windscreens of Briggs car, there is clearly a sign for CISCO.

Can you be more specific? What you saw was likely the tail end of San Francisco. It is not uncommon for a long word like Francisco to be partitioned by a structural feature of a building, etc., such as putting SAN FRAN CISCO in three successive windows without regard to spacing or hyphenation.
