But with a twist. Instead of the Himalayan paradise, we have the island. Then the people brought there to take the place of the dying leader. Idk, somehow I'm making the connection in my head.
shareI think it could be argued as such, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the core inspiration.
A lot of what you see on TV, that is the characters and their situations and how they react, are in fact exaggerations or "crazy people" reacting to challenging situations that you and I would respond to normally.
How often do you punch anyone, or even a police officer, for insulting you? How often do you peel out of a parking space to go home? How often do you crack a joke when someone is stealing from you? Think of all the stories you've seen in all the sitcoms and police dramas. And think of how you would have handled those situations?
That's kind of what all of TV and film are all about. "Lost" and "Lost Horizon" are probably related in theme.
