Location Location Location!

I am obsessed with this film-it it one of my all time favorites and I cannot find any SPECIFIC location infoo on it anywhere! Any idea where Marlowe's Apt is? It is probably one of the coolest apartment locations/buildings I ever seen and I have no idea where it is specifically (yes, I know it's in LA). Anybody got a clue?

In the one of the DVD extras
Altman said the Apt was behind the Hollywood Bowl

Also, The house used in the Malibu Colony was Altman's own

I too would like to see a comprehensive list of these places
because well....heck I want to go to Marlowe's Apt haha

Marlowe's pad is in the High Tower Apartments, which are at the dead end of High Tower Drive (no kidding).

Here's the Mapquest page:

The funny thing is that that same apartment complex has been used in ...the "Phillip Marlowe Private Eye" HBO tv series 13 years after this movie in the episode" The King in Yellow" (For those who know what I'm talking about, watch the 1st scene with the motorcycle)

Thanks so much-I watch that movie and dream of that place! I always want to search it out in LA.

I have no idea where anything is, but I just wanted to say if that is the real Joan Didion that would be really cool because you're a great writer. Wow.

This link shows you the Hightower location, which was also used in Dead Again. It is still very much there, not too far from the Hollywood Bowl.
