Schwarzenegger' s second film

Interesting trivia, Governor Arnold Scwarzenegger has a small, non-speaking part toward the end...in his underwear (yes, that's him, as a gang member)..!! Only his second film appearance according to IMDB. I bet he hopes it is long forgotten....what a scream...!!

God he looked totally out of place in that movie. I think he even had a little mustache. He stupidly plays with his breast muscles and stands there with a question mark on his face.

Another interesting bit of trivia about the movie: Eliot Gould's character (Sam Marlowe) during one scene makes it clear that he is going to appeal directly to Ronald Reagan (the then-governor of California). Little did any of the cast and crew or audience of this movie know at the time that one virtually-unknown character in their midst, Arnold Schwarzenegger, would himself later become the governor of the State of California.

Yes it's almost weird how little we know about the future. That muscle guy the future governor of California!!

Hi Rsgre.

How are you doing ?

I wanted to watch the movie because I read it was a very good Altman's. I admit I also was curious to see Arnold as an extra. I saw it yesterday and I found it very good indeed. A typical movie made in the 70's with the yoga girls and more :p

Gould was very good in that movie in my opinion.

Well Arnold plays a hood with a red shirt a thin moustache who really looks shy and not comfortable. Even his boss treats him like sh.. (stand up, stand up!! (also when he wants to touch the money and gets his hand tapped before Gould leaves)). Well it works since Arnold didn't seem very comfortable like a true beginner, an extra, so..

Funny to see him in his debuts. He looks 6'1 beside Gould by the way, not 6'2 like IMDB wrongly says.

Very good thriller.

Have a nice day.
