Lost Long Goodbye trailer

I had the good fortune of seeing this on the big screen in 35mm at the Fifth Avenue Cinema at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon wayyyy before it came out on video. I was a member of the P.S.U. Film Committee and it was part of our program.

In the weeks leading up to the movie, we showed a trailer different from the one that's on the current DVDs, one where there is some humorous narration by a movie trailer narrator, such as mentioning "exotic locales" when Marlowe is merely at his local all-night supermarket to buy catfood. I remember thinking at the time that this trailer was even somewhat funnier than the movie itself.

Anybody else remember seeing this trailer? I wish they'd put this one on the DVD as well...

The original trailer that I saw on the DVD was terrible. Long and boring.

It's a shame because the movie is good.
