'There's a long goodbye, and it happens every day...' a forgotten song

One of the key features to this great film is the way in which only one song is used, and I think that "The Long Goodbye", penned by two great composers, namely John Williams and Johnny Mercer, is a very nice and haunting song. However, I can't find it anywhere, and I can't understand why it hasn't become a sort of jazz standard.

What does everyone else think?

"Too late, you've turned your head, you know you've said the long goodbye..."

I was amazed this wasn't even nominated for an Oscar. It's such a catchy tune.

This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

Yeah great tune. I swear they even used a few notes of it for the door bell when Marlowe first visits Elieen Wade.
