The girls outside the window....
Having just seen Rear Window and this the same weekend, it's striking that both films have scantily clad young women visible from the window of the hero's apartment, and in both cases police are struck by the scene outside the window. In Rear Window there's a shot where Jeffries' Detective buddy is dumbfounded by "Miss Torso" stretching in her underwear.
I suspect that there's a homage to Rear Window in this. Particularly as Rear Window and this both explore, among other themes, vouyerism.
