Is that William H Macy?

In the scene just after Bruce Dern and William Matthau discover that there is a live one on the bus, there is someone that strongly resembles William H Macy that rides to the hospital with the survivor. Am I seeing things?

Probably not. It appears as though his screen work ( big screen/little screen ) didn't start until 1980.

No 'probably' about it. It was Jonas Wolfe, or as he is also known, Don Borisenko.

Yeah, Macy's career didn't begin until 5 years later.
