What?? What's with this -- I don't know what to call it -- stupid conspiracy to weasel the word 'toronto' on to every IMDB entry possible, for location? None of this movie was filmed in toronto, get a life! Frigg.

It belittles this great movie and the great performances of Nicholson, Young and Quaid to try and use this IMDB entry to weasel in another specious reference to stinking toronto. I'm getting rather sick and tired of it.

What is it, is there some kind of friggin conspiracy out there amongst you losers from toronto to try and promote your parasite-ville to the rest of the world?

(PS: I was born in toronto, or "ta-ra-na" -- I'm allowed to disparage it.)

One of the prostitutes from the movie must have been your mother. That's why you dispute its filming location fact.

The story is, the US Navy would not permit shooting of The Last Detail inside a base, so they went to a Canadian Navy base instead, and while in Canada shot various other scenes of the movie.
