The Spadina Hotel

Loved that scene in the Little Bar of the late, great (well, it's there but renovated and switched to a traveller's hostel) Spadina Hotel. (Northwest corner of King and Spadina in
Toronto.)

The counter with the cracks in it from Badass slamming his sidearm down is still in the same spot. It's now used as a check-in counter for the hostel.

Too bad they sold the place in '95. The bar was virtually identical as what was portrayed in the movie until '96 or '97. I miss that joint but my liver doesn't.

Been there myself, but, also notice the closing scene in High Park (west end of Toronto) where the boys Bar-BQ hot dogs on a bitterly cold afternoon. I must have sat at that same bench dozens of times, but not in the dead of winter...=)

What other scenes were shot in Toronto? Does anyone know? I had a feeling that the scene in the NYC subway was done at Toronto's unused subway station under Bay but I don´t know for sure.

The fight scene between the Marines and the sailors is in the men's washroom in Union Station, also just before that scene they are on the lower concourse of Union Station. Also when they are going to the bar in Washington, they are on Front street across from the Post Office.

Thank you, NobBoffin.

I was there for a small-press magazine convention (as a vendor) back in '95. Great historical place. The place has since changed inside, but that was the last time I had seen it. Hard to believe I was selling magazines on the same spot ol' Jack slammed down his piece!

I watched this film tonight on the big screen in Vancouver, hosted by Toby Jones. Near the start of that scene with the hot dogs, in the park, they pan around and you can see a Canadian flag flying from one of the buildings in the background. It really did look like High Park, though I don't know what that area looks like now.
