Book (Zealot) shows Christ to really existed at one time

Pontius Pliate was real too.

Watch out for a terrible troll named Topix. Ignore any postings by that individual or any stranger!

Pilate was real. I read the book, and there's still zero historic evidence Jesus ever existed. It's all about faith

Pilate was real, and in GREAT SHAPE! In fact, Pilates is how Jesus got that great swimmer's body

Nonsense. Paul (or the author of the Epistles who called himself Paul) was a younger contemporary of Jesus who was initially hostile toward the early Christians. He never doubted that Jesus had existed. The Gospels are remarkably consistent on many details of Jesus' life and were written within about half a century of his death. In addition, we have surviving versions from less than a century after his death.

In contrast, nobody has any problem buying anything Tacitus says about his father-in-law Agricola, even though we have no surviving copies of Tacitus (a major non-biblical source on Pilate) that date before the Renaissance and no other direct evidence of Agricola's life.

As for Pilate, if you're willing to take a single short inscription that appears to date from his prefecture as proof of his existence, how can you then not accept at least some of the many near-contemporary sources for Jesus' existence? That makes no historiographical sense.
