Can someone clear this whole thing up?

There were many rumors that porn star Ron Jeremy appeared in this? Did he?

How did this start?

Not Ron Jeremy. Paul Thomas, on the cast as Philip Toubus, played Peter. He went on to star in and direct "adult" movies.

Ron Jeremy would have been an interesting choice to play Peter.

Yes, Philip Toubus played Peter before beginning his adult film career using the name Paul Thomas. He acted in over 300 adult films and directed over 300 more adult films.

He spent a year in prison in the '80s for smuggling cocaine from South America. He is currently listed as a sex offender in Florida. I am unaware of the details. Please click on

There is an urban legend that he is one of the dancers in Simon's dance scene, which Paul, the porn actor, definitely is. No sighting of Ron that I'm aware of.

hes not in the movie. ron jeremy goes around and claims he was an extra, but he has never provided any proof

Jeremy was never oncscreen. He is a background singer on the soundtrack.
