What a load of garbage, I only rated it 2 because it was mildly funny at the start but after about 10 mins it got annoying. Wow, it was bad.

WHAT?! I couldn't disagree more.. It's one of my favourite films! (Just after Schindlers List and The Duchess)

I LOVE this film. I love the actors, i love the music (ofc). It's beautiful.. and so sad. C'mon the singing is great!!!

Funnily enough, I wonder show one could not like it, unless one A) Detests musical stories in general, B) Has very strong religious views of a certain sort, or C) Is prejudiced regarding hippie stereotypes.

I always staggers me when people disagree with someone over something as liking/disliking a film they claim the other person is 'wrong' lol,its a difference of opinion,no one is wrong.

That's true. It's all opinionated. People's strong views can just be genuinely surprising at times.

I can see why some may not like it or even hate it. Different strokes, etc. I saw it at the theater when it first came out and always loved it. Seeing it now is like reliving those early '70s, hippie, "Jesus freak" days. And I mean "Jesus freak" in the best possible way; that's how it was referred to then.

Well, I wouldn't claim the OP was wrong in his not liking the film, but I do say he IS wrong in stating it was a piece of garbage as this is a matter of opinion (of which I don't yet know whether I share it as I'm watching the film now, though I incline not to).

Guess you had to catch it when it came out.

Has the best songs and vocals in a musical. Judas and Jesus vocal parts are extraordinary.

The guy that plays Jesus is the best looking portrayal of Jesus in any movie. He didn't age too well though.

We used to sing some of those songs in Catholic Folk Mass. It got me to church every Sunday ... the folk mass and the songs that we sang.

I Don't Know How to Love Him has to be one of the most beautiful songs to come out of a musical.
