I'm a devout Christian and I love this movie/play!

It's true! I worship and follow Christ and I love him dearly and believe he died for all our sins...and yes, I love this movie/play!

I've gotten some flack for it from my fellow Christian brothers and sisters but I also know some of them who love it too. I've sometimes even been aggravated with Christians who refuse to watch it because I think it's so wonderful.

As a person of faith it only strengthens it...it speaks so deeply to me about Jesus and the human side of his life which only helps me relate to him more. Also, I love the tragic character of Judas...I really think it helps us be more sympathetic to him and understand that he wasn't this evil villain he is always portrayed as.

P.S.

One of my biggest dreams is to one day direct and/or star as Judas in a production of this.

I am a Christian myself and this musical had really gotten me more interested in Jesus and his relationship with Judas, I find it really interesting.

I went out a watched Godspell after going to see the Arena Spectacular and watching it many times, but found it wasn't as interesting as the ALW work. I think this was because it didn't emphasis the relationship of Judas and jesus and barely mentioned the betrayal.

Definitely all the judas songs in Jesus Christ superstar are my favourite

exactly, good points. It's a great story, the most interesting story of all time, and definitely the most influential story of all time. AND it doesn't hurt that the songs are excellent.

I'm a militant atheist and I also love this movie. I can appreciate the inner turmoil of a human being who wants to make the world a better place to live in. I understand Judas to be a man who joined a group of idealists and saw the cause go sideways when it got too political and it ended with an assassination of the group's leader.

I'm a Christian (as you can tell by my sig), as well, and I enjoy this movie/play. In fact, I had the pleasure of being in the play this past weekend, playing a variety of ensemble roles.

I love Jesus Christ and am 100% proud!
