shareI agree with what the previous poster said. I can also add that one of the last scenes, where the Wild Bunch is riding fast and Beauregard is awaiting them by the railroad is a very beatiful scene, superbly filmed and the music was great. Although this is primarily a comedy, this was kind of the serious moment of the film (until Nobody arrived with the train, haha). cool film, a funnier spaghetti western than the ones I'm used to.
Can anyone tell me where I go in Terence Hill-country from here? Like which films I should see if I liked this one? thanks

I´d recommend "Don Camillo".
It´s not a western but a sweet, comedic tale of a minister in a small town and the problems he has comming to terms his own humanity, Jesus and the the town mayor.
Probably the best Terence Hill movie ever.
And then the Trinity movies. They´re not really my cup of tea, but they are, I think, considered the most important Bud Spencer/Terence Hill movies. And they are westerns.
He also did a "Django" movie.
It is NOT the one considered the true Django movie. (The one with Franco Nero is the true "Django")
The term "Django" is used in the title as a quality stamp, as a sign to movie goers if you will, that this is a high quality spaghetti western.
Yes, a wonderful film, a feelgood movie. Terrific music and beautifully filmed.
Have you seen Companeros? That is another great spaghetti western.
Thank you for the recommendations!
I've seen both "Viva Django" with Terence Hill and the original "Django" with Franco Nero. I liked both, although the original was better. Mind you, not all movies with "Django" in the title are any good. For example; "Django, Kill.. If You Live, Shoot!" with the usually great Tomas Milian, really really stinks! There were made about 50 westerns with Django in the title, and as I hear from Spaghetti buffs, some are very good, and some (like "Kill..") are not worth watching. But I would also recommend "Viva Django" to fans of the Spaghetti Western genre.
To the other poster; I have seen "Companeros" about 5 times, and I love it. Have you seen "the Mercenary"? Somewhat same storyline, but in my opinion, even better!

You must be dim-witted.

I hadn't seen this in about 25 years, and was happy to see how well it stood up. This time around, saw it in letterbox, which did the fine cinematography justice. This time, I was also familiar with the prior Leone Westerns, which makes the score's musical cues even more interesting.
The comedic portions are often slapstick, but as long as that doesn't bother you, this film is really one of the better spaghetti westerns out there, and a great companion to Leone's more serious Westerns. (But -- there was always comedy in those films, too, just more muted.)
