This edition does not seem so much "special" to me. The VHS version lasts 115-116 minutes.

This is an excellent restoration. To IGINO: the VHS version can't hold a candle to the DVD restoration. Compare:

What??
Just look at the extras!!!!
If you call that "not special", I don't know how to help you??!!!

"Allow me to demonstrate the skill of shaolin, the special technique of shadowboxin!"

From a special edition I expect the 130 minutes version (like the italian VHS) and not only 112. Even the english and german VHS versions are longer (115-116 minutes). I don't care about extras.

Hi jgino.

The 112 minute-Version in Germany are the original theatralical Version. I´ve saw the film in 1973 in Italy and 1976 in Germany. THere wasn´t any difference in the storyline and scenes. So I don´t know how you can say it exist a 130 minute-version. I think you related it to a cover. Almost these informations are not right.
THe longest Version that exists are 117 minutes.
112 minutes in Germany are 117 minutes in America. Why?
German Pal-system need 25 fps (Frames per second). THe NTSC-System has 24 fps.
Hope i could help.

Chris

A number of reference sources state it was originally 130 minutes. That's where the previous poster got his information. If this is incorrect, we Nobody fans want to know.

Mental Flux, Great tip. Just watched it. Brilliant restoration. A great film seen as it should be. It enhances the experience to see such a crisp print, just like the restored version of A Few Dollars More.

Hats off to this company for expending such love and care on this classic.

And it´s only 7,72 on amazon.de!!! What a price.

I have to concur, this DVD & it's follow-up are BRILLIANT!

Kudos! to the people behind this DVD project! All those involved in the restoration, interviewing "Terrence Hill" & finding all the materials they made the documentaries with. Well done!! Veilen Dank!

I'll have to admit though, I didn't order it from amazon.de because their 'Verkakte' shipping rate to the US is WAY TOO HIGH. (and the DVDs price has gone back up to [Euro]9,99)

If you can find a friend (like I did) who is traveling to Germany, get them to look for a chainstore called Müller. I found them on this InterNets thingy. Their web-site is www.Mueller.de. & these DVDs sell for [Euro]7,99 each there.

I highly recommend these DVDs (& that store). But, if you don't mind paying about $15 to ship a DVD, go for amazon.de. Sadly, amazon.co.uk doesn't seem to have access to these discs, because their shipping costs are much more reasonable.

Cheaply yours...
