The Only Proof Needed to Connect Spaghetti Westerns and Kung Fu

Wow. All of the worst elements of 1970s kung fu stem from this one spaghetti western. We've got the staple elements - fart jokes, fingers in butts, bad comedy, pee scenes. But never in my wildest dreams did I think that the Hong Kong legacy of "overcranking" the film would find it's genesis in My Name is Nobody!! Forget about sped up Carter Wong fights, man . . . we've got Terrence Hill gunslinging at 70frames per second!!!!

The mirror maze shootout reminds me of the mirror maze fight scene in ENTER THE DRAGON, which was released the same year as this one ...

I was telling my wife just yesterday that "Nobody's" fighting style--using whatever is handy as weapons--made me think that Terrence Hill was the Jackie Chan of the 70's.

Oh yeah, the "gun-slap" scene did remind me of Jackie Chan.

BTW: Jackie Chan was the Jackie Chan of the '70's.
