Classic Media Release?

Is Classic Media going to release this on DVD? Like they did Gojira, Godzilla Raids Again and Mothra vs. Godzilla? This is one of the best Godzilla movies ever, but it's so rare!

It's not pink! It's lightish red!

No and No, it is not one of the best G-movies. I'd rather watch GINO than this.
The showa series has left a taint in the minds of americans about Godzilla series forever.

they don't own the rights to it, it says in their blog on:

www.godzillaondvd.com

and i don't think they plan to either.

Sci-Fi Channel has run it in widescreen format, which is probably the only way we'll get this film for the time being.

Godzilla vs Megalon is a guilty Godzilla pleasure it bad but its soo cool, Hey its Godzilla come on!

I think Rhino owns this film. They still own the MST3K version as far as I know.

That's too bad, I was hoping there be a spark of luck for this title to be digitally remastered on DVD by Classic Media. But there appears to be no news on this coming on a better DVD release anytime soon.

GoodTimes owns the rights to the film. They are pretty much a dead company. I know that Universal reclaimed a bunch of movies they gave to GoodTimes (Jaws: The Revenge was one of them). I doubt there will be a release on DVD, maybe when Blu-Ray takes over we might have it.

So they got the rights. Rhino had to pull the MST3K Volume 10 set because they lost rights to this film, probably because of Toho.

I doubt the regular version will be released also.

If you can find it on Ebay, there is a widescreen version with optional subtitles published in Australia. I should know, I purchased a copy.

I'd like to find that. Do you have any more info about that dvd so I can track it down?

I'd like to know how there were over one-hundred cheap VHS releases of it but the only official DVD is the Canadian double feature with the AIP "Smog Monster". I always thought it was public domain as this movie was literally everywhere in the 80's.
