Did he remind anybody besides me of Tim Conway?

He does remind me of Tim Conway. He was American "actor" Robert Dunham who did a few other Japanese movies like the "Green Slime".

The 'Green Slime' movie that was one of the very first films spoofed by the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 crew? If so, I'll have to take another look at that, see if I can recognize him.

The MST3K version of "Green Slime" was never shown on TV. It was about a 30 min. version they used to sell the show to a TV station like a pilot. Dunham has a fairly big part in "Green Slime" unlike this movie, without the toga of course. In "Green Slime" he doesn't look as much like Tim Conway.

I thought 'Green Slime' was a full-scale 'KTMA' episode. Am I confusing that with 'Slime People?'

You are confusing them 'Slime People' was a full episode, 'Green Slime' was the short pilot.
