My Uncle was telling me about this Robert Mitchum flick, "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" and I havent been able to find it any where for rent or sale. Does it even exist on video? How about "Charley Varrick", is that available?
I think it was released on VHS years back. There have been a few bootleg copies of it available on ebay and I've seen it on tv so a transfer was done years ago. I know it won't be likely, but damn I wish they'd release this baby on dvd. It's definately one of Mitchum's finest fliks.
Have you ever seen the made for TV movie called "A Killer in The Family?" Mitchum plays a killer who escapes from prison with the help of his three sons. It's based on a true story about the Tison family. Mitchum is terrific.

Keep - Your uncle's got great taste in 70's flicks. COYLE was out on video briefly, I think, but not on DVD. I've only seen it at the Museum of Modern Art during a Paramount retro. CHARLEY VARRICK was broadcast letterboxed and unedited on AMC in the 90's and was on a double laser disc with Siegel's equally great MADIGAN and I assume has come out on DVD since.
