Beautiful Film

Decided to watch this as Pans Labyrinth is my all time favorite film and Guillermo Del Toro cited this is as a major influence and I could definitely see that throughout. I really loved the cinematography and symbolism throughout and the acting from the two young leads especially Ana was phenomenal, I see a lot of people criticizing the overall pace of the film which is something that can potentially annoy me as well but with this film I thought it was a wonderful addition as it offers a lot of time to think and reflect upon whats happening onscreen(and plenty is going on naysayers). Like Pans Labyrinth I can definitely see myself re watching Spirit of the Beehive numerous times and finding more things that I love about it!

Not quite as perfect as Pans Labyrinth for me but an amazing film one nonetheless
