That guy who laughs after Lee's triple head kick!

During the big battle at the end after Roper kills Bolo, Bruce delivers his triple head kick and one of the extras in the back starts laughing.

Does anyone else want to kill that guy?

Every time i am enjoying the movie it gets to that scene and that chump laughs at Bruce and it takes me right out of it, he's been driving me mad for years, i just want to climb into the TV and give him a big ol' titty twister! (The signature move of my incredible martial arts training in moose wu do!)

I know your out there somewhere chuckles! and where ever you are i just want to say I hope Bruce gave you a good kicking after he saw the rushes!

Don't be annoyed at that. There are others who were doing similar things during other scenes when Lee would attack. Some of the stuntmen were interviewed quite some time ago, and they were actually laughing/smiling in the manner of 'Holy Sh*t! Did you see that!!!" They were in reality in complete awe that Lee could perform these techniques with such speed, accuracy and grace.

I watched the movie again and just saw that dude, lol ! Nice to see that some of the background extras got their own small snippet of "fame" .

LOL! Yeah that extra really killed the suspension of disbelief. I know some people commenting here have tried to explain it in the context of the plot such as he was laughing in awe of the Bruce Lee character.

I think the real truth is that the extra, being paid peanuts, didn't really care if he ruined the scene or not. Furthermore, I've read that a lot of these "B movie" Asian productions are filmed at a break neck pace. Back then, you'll notice that they filmed MOS (no sound) and dubbed it in later and I read Robert Clouse, the U.S. Director, found the Hong Kong crews far too noisy and undisciplined by U.S. production methods. Production value in HK/China movies have improved vastly for anyone who has watched martial arts movies made in the last 15 years like Hero, or even Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

As much of a blockbuster that ETD became it was really just a B-movie for Warner Bros. They didn't have a huge budget to get the perfect take. Therefore, if that was the "printed" take I hate to see what that goofball extra was doing in the other ones!

If it were a U.S. production I think that extra would have been fired on the spot.

To give "laughing boy white belt extra" the benefit of the doubt, it's also possible that he either did not know that they were rolling (aka maybe he thought it was a "blocking" or rehearsal or not paying attention), or it's possible that they rolled film on a rehearsal or run-through and just decided to print that take.

As great of an athlete as Bruce Lee was, that was a complicated and physically demanding fight scene for Bruce Lee and all the stuntmen who had to sell the hits perfectly and the camera had to be blocked perfectly.

It was done one shot with no edits.

Also, some of the extras did not know how to tie a karate belt properly or the wardrobe person didn't know and didn't care.

You martial artists out there will also see such GOOFS in Bruce Lee's Chinese Connection where the Japanese bad guys have their hakamas (skirt like pants often worn in martial arts like kendo and aikido) on backwards.

that laughing extra never bothered me much - big deal. Han's minions stand around and wait for Han to tell them to fight - what is more ridiculous?

I noticed that guy after watching Enter The Dragon on Blu-Ray for the first time.

How is this ridiculous?

The film's a classic due to Lee's charismatic presence and inimitable fighting style. Take that away and you can soon find all manner and any number of perceived imperfections.

compare it to the zombie prisoners in the cell who were emotionless during lee surrounded by guards

"schadenfreud".....he laughs cuz it's not him getting owned , gloating ;)

Actually, I enjoyed that guy. You will also see another guy who lets a small grin sneak out in the same scene. I am sure those extras were told to remain stone-faced during the action, but the guy who laughs forgot the instructions while watching Lee's prodigious abilities. What an honest tribute to Lee--to see this unbridled appreciation for a great athlete.
