Jeannine Riley as 'Jolene'

I can't say enough about the short, but amazing performance of Jeannine Riley in this film. Her monologue ("Well, well, well... my two knights in shining armor ... Mr. Tall and Mr. Small... come on in gentlemen") was amazing. She was in the original black and white cast of "Pettycoat Junction" and not much else, but her performance here was superb. Not sure whatever happened to her, but she was a fine actress here and with a terrific character to play.

Ditto from me on that scene. I too was blown away by it. And, I also wonder what happened to her career. She appears to have had both talent and looks.

I couldn't agree more about her performance. I was just casually watching this flick last friday night on TCM, but when she started in on her sad soliloquy it immediately caught my attention causing me to sit up in my chair and start watching the film with a different attitude and appreciation for this gem of a cop movie.
