The band that performs in 'Electra-Glide in Blue':

Why no mention? "Madura", managed & produced by the "EGIB"s director, James Guercio,(who also managed "Chicago", thus the acting roles here for all of "Chicago's"members). Al Decarlo/guitar-vocals, Ross Salamone/drums, Hawk Wolinski/keyboard. Just for the record: A great band.

Check out the bands official site here:

http://madura.bangorflyingcircus.com

There you will find out everything about their records etc

The track played on the movie ("Free from the Devil") can be heard
full version on the mp3 section.

There is a documentary film about the band in production right know.

I was a kid when this movie came out and saw it 'first' on an ABC Night of Movies. I remember Maudra, but after the showing I went out and bought the soundtrack of this film - which I consider excellent.

Obviously, Micheal Mann did as well as he used The song "Tell Me" (love that song!) for his show Miami Vice episodes in the 80's.

The show wasn't as funny as it was 5 years ago. Well, neither are you.

I just saw the movie tonight and I thought the music was awesome! I did not know who did the music. Who was the drummer who did the solo at the concert half way through? Never heard of Madura.
