Boy, I'm pumped!!!!!
Friends, I've just brought up IMDB for my daily perusing, and seen that a trailer was posted for a new Katie Holmes movie called, "Don't be afraid of the Dark". I thought, "Could it be a re-make of the old TV flick with Jim Hutton and Kim Darby?". Sure enough, it is!!!!! I watched the trailer. It looks GOOD!!!! With only a quick glimpse of a demon. And it's scheduled to be rated R, which any good horror movie should be!!! I thought I'd seen the original on it's first airing, but IMDB says that was in '73, and I know I didn't see it until a year or two later. Last time I saw this was about 12-15 years ago. I can't remember how I saw it... either late night television, or maybe I rented it on VHS or Laser-disc (remember Laser-disc? I've still got all mine!!!). I love the ogiginal, I hope Del Toro doesn't drop the ball. At least Katie Holmes needs to be taken into the fireplace (teach her a lesson for letting her pod-person replacement get blown up in "The Dark Knight"). Maybe even the little girl. Last thing we need is a happy damned ending. CKB.
