Michel (Michael) Lonsdale

I just caught this movie on TV and enjoyed it so much. It was a free trip to Paris for me living is Australia. BTW I too am Michel Michael!. But what surprised me much about him that he was not even in the film credit! Yet I felt he was one of the main and most interesting characters in this movie. I was so certain that I had seen him in one of the James Bond movies, and further research confirm this as he was in Moonraker 1979 I think.
Another think puzzled me as well was that many of his movies characters would refer to him "As Michel Lonsdale" (rather than in day of the Jackal as the commissionaire" I don't get this perhaps someone will en light me
In IMDB he was only cast in the extended cast???

I gather back in 1973, he was using "Michel", rather than the Anglicized "Michael" as his stage name.

The Day of the Jackel has a large supporting cast with all members in alphabetical order apart from Edward Fox as the lead.

This is why Lonsdale, who did have the second largest part, is so far down the credit list.
