JFK photo on table

as the Jackal and the weapons guy(C. Cusak) are seated...discussing whether it will be a head shot...Fred Zinnemann(the Foxy director) has placed a magazine photo of JFK between them.
I've seen this hundreds of times and just noticed it!
We to go Fred!

Exactly. The whole movie is an examination of the JFK assassination - and kids today are not expected to know this ---

back in the day after jfk got bumped, there was an entire national blackout about the crime. Nobody on tv / radio could talk about it. no newspapers wrote about it. the film was shelved & eventually doctored. & of course the govt issued their whitewash. case closed and round 1 to the assassins.

then round 2 - malcolm x got bumped - same difference

then round 3 --- MLK got bumped - same difference - assassins win.

then round 4 --- RFK got bumped - same difference - they are using this mo a bit too often for lone nuts doing it.

So all this stuff happened before Day Of The Jackal. A perfect story to shed light on all this. There is a giant hidden hand behind these events. Not a couple of codgers sitting retired on the top floor.

Love the movie. Never get sick of it.

Didn't notice that. Thanks. Just notice three notes in the score which I didn't notice before - as the assassin walks through the street and the cat puts its back up and snarls. Such attention to detail. Expert film makers.
