Philippe Léotard
The french gendarme ( Philippe Léotard ), is not exactly a gendarme,or a CRS as tells Forsyth on the book.
According with his uniform, it's a Gardien de la paix, service of order ( National Police ).
I'm currently studying the various agencies and jurisdictions in France for accurate model building.
It seems very complicated, as well the differences between rank and titles.
