Who else laughed out loud when... (Spoiler)

Did anyone else burst out laughing when Charles hacks his way into the coffin and then starts using the skeleton itself as a (very inefectual, obviously) battering ram, slamming it repeatedly against the grave? I thought this was unintentionally hilarious.

EXACTLY! I can just imagine how many takes it took to shoot the scene. I don't know how Ian Olgivy kept a straight face. More power to him.

The movie on the whole was great. Very entertaining stuff from the great Amicus studio.

...even though I was, overall, pretty pleased with the movie.
(Especially considering the time it was made.)

I found it a little whimsical alright. The whole scene was just WTF. Honestly, who thought up that scene.... ¬_¬

It did look somewhat comedic. The portrait of Henry a few minutes into the film raised a titter as well.

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"
