Just watching this again and realised the character of Stephanie beacham is a snob!!
She walks through the woods, sees two woodsmen and gives them a stinking look, if it was me I'd say "morning" in a friendly voice and she talks to silas like crap.
"Take your hands out of the water"
"I just said so" etc
I know she's the mistress but she's such a snobby bitch.!!!!
No need to be such a stuck up cow and treat people like *beep*
In her defense, consider what she has been through. She has been raped by a ghost, pursued by a bloody severed hand and is seeing visions of a bloody face that looks just like Silas the woodsman. I can see how she would be agitated when she then meets him in the forest.
Her husband, however, is a real jerk. " Honey, I forgot to mention that our family is cursed and you will be raped by a ghost on our wedding night... oh, and all the servants dropping dead- probably just bad luck".
While he was definitely a jerk, she was such a snob I failed to feel bad about anything that happend to her
