First - just to set a context here - I am a big fan of Peter Cushing. I will watch any movie that has him in it. He had an ummatched talent for delivering the most ridiculous of lines with absolute, unwavering conviction and making them work.

But I laughed for 30 seconds when he first appeared in this and couldn't stop giggling whenever he was on screem. That wig and costume would make the guys on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy blush.

Okay, light-hearted rant off. Resume your normal activities.

OMG I am LOL-ing! I had the same reaction. I loves me some Peter Cushing, and the poufy hair and the frilly outfit were beyond fabulous! I was just wheezing with amusement. Hey, did you love The House that Dripped Blood or WHAT?

I will now resume my normal activities, and you go ahead and carry on smartly.

hahaha great post. I first read this as "...at his greatest" so when I reread it I really got a laugh.

I too will watch anything with Peter Cushing - very talented man. But yeah, I was kinda distracted by his hair. It was bewildering.

The wig looked like he exact same one from Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell. Perhaps it was.
