ABC Saturday Morning Sneak Peek

Anyone else remember watching this special and get their first look at the Super Friends?

I was amazed anyone had a copy of the footage. Now, if only someone would turn up the preview from 1972, with the Brady Kids and Charles Nelson Reilly (as the magician Hoodo, from Liddsville).

I didn't remember that but I do remember when they used to air Saturday morning previews on Thursday night. Maybe Friday. They'd show all the shows coming up. I remember nearly exploding the year the Legion of Doom was shown!!

ABC used to also show special cartoon blocks on holidays, like Thanksgiving. I recall seeing Dyno-Mutt and Electra-Woman and Dyna-Girl, on Thanksgiving broadcasts. CBS used to show those Family Classics cartoons, whee they adapted literary works.

I don't remember that but I do remember Saturday morning cartoons. It was the one morning we didn't mind getting up as early as possible. Then Congress decided they needed to have more 'educational' Saturday morning tv. That was the beginning of the end of that tradition.
