OT: star trek like cartoon parody?

I remember seeing a cartoon that had a parody of Star Trek, I really only vaguely remember it and it's been bugging me for some time now to what it was.

What I remember is seeing a animated cartoon with a space ship that looked like the Enterprise but it was 'Upside down'. I kind of want to think this was a sub-cartoon that appeared on Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids ... kind of like how they had the brown hornet.

does anyone know?

You might be thinking of Tripping the Rift on the Sci-Fi channel. Great show!

nope, it's not a new show it's was on in the late 1970s, and there was a few episodes, or maybe even just one.

What you are thinking of is an episode of an animated series from the seventies called The Secret Life of Waldo Kitty.

I always liked the family guy parodies, especially since william shatner vooiced Kirk on them
