Star Trek The Animated Series 5 year mission?

Was Star Trek The Animated Series meant to be a second 5 year mission of
Star Trek?

For example what if Star Trek The Animated Series would of made it for a third season?

It never said on the show the introduction that it was the further missions of Captain James T. Kirk and his crew.

It was a 5 year mission just like the orginal star trek was a 5 mission also that was never completed.

I admit if they tried to do 4 more years of Star Trek the animated series to complete the star trek 5 year mission it might screw things up with the movies or star trek timeline.

Star Trek The Motion Picture takes place in 2273 instead of 2271.

Although the animated series isn't generally considered canon, I got the impression that a lot of fans considered the 3 live action (TOS) seasons the first 3 years of the 5-year mission, and the 2 animated (TAS) seasons the last 2 years.

I consider the animated series to be the 4th year and the 3 video games from the 90s(with the original actors) to be the 5th year.

It is generally assumed that the episodes in the series take place after the events of the Original Series, possibly during the last year of the NCC-1701's five-year mission. However this is never stated on screen. It is impossible to support this notion using the stardates mentioned in the episodes, since they are often inconsistent with the Original Series.

Star Trek The Animated Series could be Captain James T. Kirk second 5 year mission from 2270-2275

Star Trek The Animated Series music introduction is different compared to Star Trek The Orginal Series which is more evidence why Star Trek The Animated Series did not complete Captain James T. Kirk 5 year mission.
