If Star Trek The Animated Series was rebooted who would accept Stephen Collins as the new Captain of The Enterprise?

I would accept Captain Willard Decker as the new Captain of Star Trek TAS.

Somebody would have to play Scotty and Dr. McCoy.
Lt. Arex and Lt. M'ress.

Nurse Chapel will be written off in the first episode by stating that Nurse Chapel has left to become Head of Starfleet Medical while introducing
Joanna McCoy Dr. McCoy's Daughter to be the new nurse to replace Nurse Chapel.
