No Way Carter Winston voice is by Ted Knight
They list him as uncredited but he sounds exactly like Shatner.

He sounds nothing whatsoever like Shatner--because he's Ted Knight.

He didn't actually sound like Knight time until the end of the episode. But the beginning, he sounds almost exacly like Shatner. Go back and watch. I did with 3'people who thought the same thing.
Then the four of you need to see an ENT specialist.

Being that one is in the recording industry and the other is a professional musician, that's laughable. They'd be out of work if hearing was an issue. These guys can hear things you'd totally missed which I feel is probably the issue. You're the one needing an exam. If Shatner may have done the first few lines, it could be a reason Ted was uncredited.
shareShatner did none of the lines. It was Ted Knight. Your friends are incorrect. And since I actually work in this industry, I trust my sources on this matter, not your friends' inaccurate ears.

It was indeed Ted Knight. Knight did a ton of voice work with Filmation from the late 60s to early 70s. If you watch the show, it's obvious Shatner put the bare minimum effort into his voice work. I really doubt he could even be bothered to voice another character.
George Carlin: It's all bullsh-t and it's bad for ya.
Exactly. Shatner's performance on the animated series was lousy. Knight's performance as Winston was excellent. There's NO way Shatner would have put more effort into voicing Winston than Kirk. No way at all.

At the time, I didn't know who Ted Knight was, but I knew he sounded exactly like the characters Knight voiced in other Filmation shows, like Fantastic Voyage and Journey to the Center of the Earth.
