the episode with satan.

Does anybody remember the episode where they imply that Satan wasn't an evil deity but a pretty much harmless alien? Am I the only one who can't believe this episode actually made it to air? Jesus, the writers are pretty much coming out and saying that christianity is BS... pretty controversial stuff... especially for a saturday morning cartoon.

Ed Bishop who did the voice for Lucifer portrayed Commander Striker on the British TV sf show UFO.

The Magicks of Megas-Tu the alien Lucien who may or may not be Lucifer aka Satan, was originally supposed to be God. NBC-tv had that change made.

That's right: ylou can have Satan on Saturday morning but not God, so says NBC-tv.

Back then they were my kind of people. Now we show SNL in Hell to torment souls!

It was the seventies. Questioning authority was the rule rather than the exception.

I heard the a television station somewhere in the Midwest didn't air it.

lucian was not Satan, he wasa powerful alien who was more less interpeted as Satan by some Jews and Christians who met him on Earth.

Lucian was no more the Devil than Apollo or Kulkulkan were gods.

reply

It was aired in some places, not aired in others.

Well it is bullshit. Even within its own reality, Satan really isn't the bad guy. He wants humans to have knowledge. God wants us ignorant. He doesn't kill anyone that I can remember. God commits global ecocide, killing virtually all life on Earth. It makes no sense.
