Does Spock have a first name?
Not a Trek follower, except for the movies and I was wondering this. They say Mr Spock from time to time and sometimes just Spock. Am I not getting it?

In one episode of the original series, someone asks Spock if he has "another name." He says, "You couldn't pronounce it."
For whatever it's worth, D.C. Fontana, the Trek writer who perhaps contributed most to Spock's backstory, said his family name is "Xtmprsqzntwlfb." No one ever uses it in any of the TV series or films, though.
At any rate, the idea seems to be that "Spock" is his first name.

In another episode, probably "Journey to Babel," somebody asks Spock's mother Amanda if she could pronounce Spock's other name and she mentioned she could pronounce it "after a fashion, and with a lot of practice," or somesuch.

Spock is his given name. There's no canon family name, but I've seen "S'chn T'gai" in several different sources.
